Alongside the Martinez and the Majestic hotels, le Miramar was built during the era of grand hotels in Cannes in the early part of the 20th century. Shortly after World War II, le Miramar was converted into an apartment building, which caused its glamour to fade significantly. Today, it is an apartment hotel with lackluster quality, and its name is only a faint reminder of lost stature. The edifice and its visible name, however, continue to be a landmark in Cannes.

This was the former hotel Miramar build in 1929 with the typical architecture of that time and transformed in 1946 in a luxury apartments building.

(There are Tiara Miramar hotels in Antibes and Théoule-sur-Mer).
