First aid a lot of the medical products / brands you use in the uk may differ in france but my advice is to be prepared as sometimes the language barrier may complicate things.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Always pack a pair of Speedo type swimming trunks as there is a french law prohibiting swimming in bermuda shorts / shorts for hygene reasons however some places do not enfoce this law but is advised to be prepared.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Again a Basic first aid kit should do if your taking specila medication i would advise you to take with you the tear of piece of your presciption as you will be able to go to a chemist and purchase medicine should you run out or lose it.
