Situated in a bourgeois abode of the XVIIIe century, to the heart of the old center of Istres. Its principal missions consist of devote itself to the promotion and to the broadcasting of the contemporary art, while insisting on the support to the creation, while putting forward the concern of the sensibilisation of the publics to the art contemporary by the multidisciplinary professional practice development, original and of quality.

Favorite thing: Even if I wasn't an infidel, I still think I would have been tired of seeing cathedrals after playing a tourist for such a long time. Still, I really like the old church that sits atop the old town area of Istres. I am not sure of the age of the building, but the bricks on one side are worn so much that it is hard to distinguish the joining point of the brick and the dirt. The birds soaring around the top also add drama to the view, as does the map overlooking the tops of the houses and the lake.
Favorite thing: The older section of Istres is straight out of the eighteenth century, and very well perserved. There are small elements of the centuries following, but nothing that distracts you from the charm of the original architecture.
