Just take a walk in the streets of the village. It is peaceful and very well conserved : you won't find any modern buildings ! Only old houses in stone, a few cats, and a wonderful view on the Luberon...

    And old

On the top of the village, you will find the ruins of the Castle of Lacoste.
The place had a famous resident in the 18th century : the Marquis de Sade. So the place has most probably hosted the most "bizzare" parties !

Nowadays, an other personality has bought the castle : the french fashion designer Pierre Cardin. He has been renovating it for many years. You can't see it from the picture, but there is an other part of the castle which is well restored, and where he lives part of the year.

It is a private property and it can't be visited. But a festival of theatre and music takes place near the castle during the summer.
