Mouans-Sartoux Things to Do

  • by comagirl Written May 16, 2005

It's triangular! Yes, three sided, with a tower at each of the 3 corners; with very lovely small gardens around it. It is now used for changing art installations. The usually very modern art contrasts sharply with the striking medieval building; the interior has been refurbished very cleanly, but the building still almost overshadows the art. And the local housewives still convene in the afternoon with their lawn chairs, to sit in the sun and confer. No amountof modern art can stop that!

Quite astonishing in such a small town, the museum offers an extensive collection of modern art. Originally it was the private collection of Honnegger who gave it.
Whether you like that kind of art or not, it's an interesting collection and the surroundings (
the castle, (where you have temporary exhibitions) and the museum itself (a surprising green building) are interesting by itself

A lady loves to cook and is making and serving you typical French dishes as if you were her personal guests in a homely atmosphere.
    Menu three courses, 30 euro
    You can watch her cooking

    Favorite Dish: apple beignets

The old train line between Cannes And Grasse has been reopened in March 2005. It can be a good (and cheaper) option to book a room inland and to catch a train to go to the beach (and avoid the traffic jams)
