La Place de Mougins: Incredible Cuisine, going for a Michelin Star

Amazing food from Denis Fettisson. Just looked him up on the net and has won several awards. Apparently going for a Michelin star here and ran the two star Michelin restaurant at The Cheval Blanc in Courchevel before. Well, basis our visit, his star should be on the way here too. Incredible, creative food, beuatifully prepared. Seafood seems to be a speciality. Desserts were also amazing and they have a lovely pattisserie where you can buy bread and cakes to take away. Great wine list and very reasonable prices (a nice change).
Great atmosphere and busy. Lots of people sitting outside soaking up the village charm. Though interior was beautiful with lots of interesting artwork. So would be a good restaurant to visit in the winter too. General feeling of luxury. Good atmosphere. Busy.
Village was bustling in general, as we heard that there was the opening of a museum going on when we were there. Will take a look next time we're down as we heard that the museum was pretty amazing too

Favorite Dish: The artichoke set menu was fantastic. My brther had a lobster carpaccio that he was raving about

L'Amandier de Mougins: Beautiful Medieval building. Spectacular views

Visited this restaurant during the opening of the new art museum in the village (Museum is great for art and antiquity fans). L'Amandier has absolutley amazing views over the hills around Mougins and Grasse and the lower Alps, from the upstairs terrace. Food was provencale, lots of fresh fish, vegetables and meats. Good sized menu with lots to choose from. Very fairly priced and tasted great. Lots of healthy options, though good sized portions. Nice photos on the walls of local artists and film stars, but done in a very stylish way.
Lovely decor, apparently has just had a big refurb. Service very good and very friendly. Everyone spoke good English.
Pretty much a faultless visit, given that it was good value and not expensive too. Nice wines at reasonable prices. Could easily go here for a casual lunch or dinner, or for a special occasion and it won't cost an arm and a leg.
Heard that Alan Ducasse worked in this restaurant early in his career and was Roger Verge's restaurant many years ago

Favorite Dish: Starters: Salade Nicoise which was excellent. Wife had a nice cruditae served in a small basket, so easily eaten unlike the large baskets you sometimes get where the vegetables often go to waste.
I had the lamb and my wife had the sea bass. Both lovely. Various side orders and garnishes were fresh and well prepared.
Beautiful ice cream, hand made. Also have a downstairs ice cream parlour

Restaurant l'Amandier - Mougins

Mougins is known along the Côte d'Azur as a restaurant destination. It is home to several famous restaurants, most notably le Moulin de Mougin by the chef Roger Vergé. Other known restaurants include l'Amandier and le Feu Follet. Although the cuisine varies slightly from restaurant to restaurant, most in Mougins excel in la cuisine provençal (i.e. from Provence) or traditionelle (traditional) - essentially a Mediterranean cuisine with a French twist. If you're visiting the French Riviera, consider dedicating an evening for dinner in Mougins preceded by a tour of its art galleries.

Le Petit Fouet: cozy French restaurant

On the main street in Mougins, this little joint is very cozy, and has great food. The place looks almost like a book store, with books all over the walls, as well as classical records. It has a very homey feel to it. Well worth the trip to Mougins.

A very friendly place in the heart of the picturesque village of Mougins. We picked it because it had the shortest wait for a table upstairs for lunch.

Favorite Dish: The food was wonderful.
