    The beaches of Nice are wonderful in their location right along the main drag in Nice and for the beautiful cool blue ocean that brushes up against the beach with its gentle waves. The beach itself is like most European beaches, full of rocks instead of sand, however once you get over the fact you can't make a sand castle, the rocks aren't so bad. If your not happy at the thought of laying out on rocks, there are pay sections of the beach where you can get beach chairs and refreshments for a fee.

    Walk up eastward to the rocky promontory and immerse yourself in the wonderful sounds the waves comb the shores against a strong westward breeze. Of couse, soak in plenty of warm sunlight over the blue Mediterranean waters. Notice amorous couples stay on the rocks for added romancing.

    Yes there is a topless stretch. However it is mostly old ladies that go topless. The beach and water are great. Have lunch along the boardwalk and try rollerblading like I did:)

  • You definitely have to go to the beach. Even though it's rock and not sand, getting some sun is a must.
    Just like anywhere else, it's a place to experience the culture and soak in the diversity.
