    The Riviera of course.....to see the color combinations of the turquoise sea against the grey rocks, against a backdrop of pastel buildings and green landscape.

    The Mediterranean Sea ofcourse! Nice and Juan les Pins are the places where the beach has sand. At most other places the beach consists of Rocks or tiny stones (Ouch!)

    Eze is a little pittoresque artist village near Nice located on the top of a high hill on the coast of Mediterranean sea. The ancient village is full of galleries and ateliers of painters and artisans. Great panoramic views. Worth to visit.

    A lot of old tourists and artists.

  • Directions: Eze is located between Monaco and Nice. Take a train to Eze-sur-Mer and climb up to the village by a little path or take a bus straight on from the bus station of Nice. -20 minutes from Nice by bus -

    Please visit my Travelogue on this recent trip. We saw some wonderful places on the Côte d'Azur such as Antibes, Monaco, St. Tropez, Menton (my favorite) and Fréjus.

    Cap Ferrat- visit the Villa & gardens of Ephrussi de Rothschild
    The setting is breathtaking & the gardens are beautiful. This is the lifestyle of the very rich and famous. There is a nice tea room where we had a very pleasant lunch.

    Chill out in the 16th century walled feudal village of ST PAUL DE VENCE, located approximately 18 kilometers away from Nice. You can still find quaint medieval fountains here like the Grand Fountain - an absolutely charming cobble-stoned place with a lovely urn-shaped fountain. Sooo beautiful.

    Don't forget to visit the hilltop medieval village town of ROQUEBRUNE/ CAP MARTIN, located about 25 kilometers away from Nice. If you make your base in Monaco, you'd only need to travel about 5 kilometers to reach this quaint town. Some food for thought for you.
