Another way of getting to St-Laurent du Var (other than by train) is by bus.
From Nice bus terminal (gare routière du Paillon on Avenue Felix Faure), you can take bus # 220: Nice - St-Laurent-du-Var.

If you don't mind walking, the cheapest way to get to Cap 3000, from Nice or another place, is by train. Get off on Saint-Laurent-du-Var station and walk to the shopping mall.
From Nice SNCF station (centre-ville) to Saint-Laurent-du-Var station, the trip takes around 10 min. Check train timetable at:

The biggest shopping mall of the region with Galeries Lafayette and 140 shops (Sephora, Kookaï, L'Occitane, Timberland, Zara, Morgan, Swarovski, Ferret, Lancel, Lacoste, Disney Store etc). Free car park (3500 cars).

from 8 H 30 AM to 9 PM.
What to buy: Recommended shops:
- Nature et Decouverte (www.natureetdecouvertes.com/pages/gener/index.asp). If you are a big fan of nature, gardening.
- Disney Store. If you love Disney characters.
- Mango. Women's wear.

Topless sunbathing is considered acceptable on the beaches of France.
Even though a lot of French women frequently wear lingerie thong, you rarely see them wearing bikini thong on the beach.

The Cap 3000 beach is pebbly, so it's not very comfortable to walk or sunbathe. Watch out for broken bottle glass, pieces of wood and dog "gifts" (i.e. crap).

I suck for sports but here on this beach you can watch people playing beach volleyball, go water skiing, kitesurfing, sailing, etc...
