These are inexpensive Asian fast food restaurants operated by Thai and Vietnamese resided in Nice. Several of these Oriental fast food restaurants are located just opposite the main railway station in Central Nice. These are ready cooked simple fast food restaurants where you can choose your favourite dishes with a plate of rice. A meal with three dishes costs approximately five euros! The food are cooked Chinese style. They are truly delicious and tasty, and some of them are spicy too, it has to be said. The restaurants cater mostly for office workers, taxi, bus and lorry drivers, local residents and foreign budget travellers. Chinese tea or water is usually served free-of-charge.

Seafood Platter

We all went Le Conquet to this fabulous restaurant LA POINTE SAINTE-BARBE overlooking the sea, to celebrate Jean's mother's 90th birthday. The seafood platter set down before us was unbelievable.

The opulant seafood platter contained giant prauns, escargot (snails), crab legs, oysters and cockles (clams). Tres delicieux. I had never tried escargot before so this was a new experience for me. I took the little pin provided, dug into the shell, pulled out the delicacy inside, closed my eyes and tasted that little morsel, which actually was pretty good. Now the cockles, that's another thing. I saw something moving inside and couldn't bring myself to try them. Ewwww!

It was so nice to go to the breakfast room in the HOTEL 1 in the morning . The coffee smelled so good and there was such a nice variety of breakfast items to choose from. Like fresh croissants, French bread, hot and cold cereals, French jams and marmalades, yogourt and juice, coffee or teas. An absolute bargain at 4Euros per person.Remember to order your breakfast when you check in to the hotel.

Hans and I, along with Jean and Nel dined at this fabulous little restaurant in Brest LE VALENTIN . It was warm and cozy and tastefully decorated. We started out with our red wine and appetizer. It was a pate'. Next was our main entree' of duck a l'orange. Although quite tasty, I found it a little heavy especially with the rich sauce. For dessert we had a flambe'. Overall it was a marvelous treat.

Pizza Pino Restauant is a very popular pizza and pasta restaurant in the heart of Paris. It is one of the most popular restaurants at avenue des Champs-Elysees. In fact it is a chain of several Pizza Pino restaurants in the city of Paris.

Their Italian pizzas are truly delicious and the prices are quite reasonable. It is highly recommended to foreign tourists. It is well worth going in and savour the crispy and delicious pizzas. We were very satisfied after our meals in the restaurant. This huge restaurant is brightly and beautifully illuminated at night as depicted in our photograph above.

Opening hours are between 11.30 a.m. and 5.00 a.m. daily as advertised in their website below.

At La Point Sainte-Barbe in Le Conquet, we celebrated Jean's mother's 90th birthday. It was an elegant restaurant located on a bluff overlooking the sea. The seafood platters served were to die for. The entrees were delicious. The staff were friendly and very professional.

Hans and I, along with Jean and Nel went to this cozy little restaurant in Le Conquet LE RELAIS DU VIEUX PORT and ordered crepes.

I had the apricot crepes which was absolutely delicious. It just melted in your mouth. The apricots were fresh, no preservatives.

Fried seafood French style

This is a very popular local seafood restaurant located at Boulevard de la Croisette along the waterfront. If you walk along the promenade from Palais des Festivals et des Congrés de Cannes to La Sequet Old Town, you will not miss the restaurant. It is very popular and often very crowded with local and foreign tourists. Among its very popular specialities is fresh oysters and they are quite reasonably priced too. If we are not mistaken it cost just 10 euros for ten pieces of fresh oysters. But we prefer fried mixed seafood as depicted in our photograph above.

On our way to Mont St. Michel, we stopped in Courtiels at this quaint Bar *Brasserie* Tabac named LE MASCARET. We all had to have our afternoon coffee. It was a very warm, cozy place with the friendly owner tending the bar.
