Pizza Pino, Paris: Superb pizza restaurant

by hopang

Pizza Pino Restauant is a very popular pizza and pasta restaurant in the heart of Paris. It is one of the most popular restaurants at avenue des Champs-Elysees. In fact it is a chain of several Pizza Pino restaurants in the city of Paris. Their Italian pizzas are truly delicious and the prices are quite reasonable. It is highly recommended to foreign tourists. It is well worth going in and savour the crispy and delicious pizzas. We were very satisfied after our meals in the restaurant. This huge restaurant is brightly and beautifully illuminated at night as depicted in our photograph above.Opening hours are between 11.30 a.m. and 5.00 a.m. daily as advertised in their website below. Shake Eat: Skipping the Dessert Would be Sin

by Izabelita09

This restaurant is a bit hidden and off the usual track in Rue de Choiseul, near Opera. I loved it for its atmosphere together with the menu that I found absolutely exceptional. For an ‘amuse-geule’ you are offered veggy-sticks with a cream cheese dip. The dishes are little work of arts always combined with fresh vegetable - the deserts with fruit - and it’sone of the few restaurants in Paris where you can have freshly made smoothies with your dish. I loved as well their ‘cafés gourmands’ - a coffee accompanied just by the perfect amount of homemade sweets. Wondering why this hasn’t been invented before. Starter: Carpaccio de Courgettes à la MéditerranéeMain Dish: Risotto aux GambasDesserts: Perles du Japons au lait de Coco, Café Gourmand

Marmite: Very fishy

by Paula-Kent

This is a typical restaurant in that is was once one of the many terraced houses that line the streets in the old town. The ground floor and cellar are the dining areas. I initially felt a little claustrophobic when I went into the cellar as there are no windows but the air conditioning make is a comfortable place to eat. The Marmite is primarily a fish restaurant and is one of the best in Antibes. It's hard to single out one dish to recommend as all the fist is stunning but there is a starter of mussels (Moules Cassoulet I seem to recall), which is pretty special.

La Pointe Sainte-Barbe: SEAFOOD HEAVEN IN LE CONQUET

by LoriPori

We all went Le Conquet to this fabulous restaurant LA POINTE SAINTE-BARBE overlooking the sea, to celebrate Jean's mother's 90th birthday. The seafood platter set down before us was unbelievable. The opulant seafood platter contained giant prauns, escargot (snails), crab legs, oysters and cockles (clams). Tres delicieux. I had never tried escargot before so this was a new experience for me. I took the little pin provided, dug into the shell, pulled out the delicacy inside, closed my eyes and tasted that little morsel, which actually was pretty good. Now the cockles, that's another thing. I saw something moving inside and couldn't bring myself to try them. Ewwww!

Oriental fast food restaurants, Nice

by hopang

These are inexpensive Asian fast food restaurants operated by Thai and Vietnamese resided in Nice. Several of these Oriental fast food restaurants are located just opposite the main railway station in Central Nice. These are ready cooked simple fast food restaurants where you can choose your favourite dishes with a plate of rice. A meal with three dishes costs approximately five euros! The food are cooked Chinese style. They are truly delicious and tasty, and some of them are spicy too, it has to be said. The restaurants cater mostly for office workers, taxi, bus and lorry drivers, local residents and foreign budget travellers. Chinese tea or water is usually served free-of-charge.

L'autre cafe: Try the migret du canard

by jdm267

Literally 'the other cafe'; this bistro is amazing. I have eaten the duck here at least 6 times in the last year and a half and it is hands down the best food I have ever eaten. Great wine, terrific decour, nice people and its not at all expensive. I feel like the beer in France is pretty good too. I like Kronenbourg, f-ing amazing.Take the metro 3 to Paramentier, 11 eme62, rue Jean Pierre Timbaudwww.lautrecafe.com Le migret du canard

Le Comptoir du Thiou: Some of the best Thai Cuisine

by aztraveler2

This lovely, chic restaurant is one in a group of several different eateries, but don't let this put you off. I made reservations for new Year's Eve and we enjoyed the experience very much. I must say that it is rather expensive with the weak USD; it was the most expensive meal we had in Paris. However, it was one of the best meals we had during our stay and the service was wonderful. They do not offer wines by the glass, just by the bottle, so plan on that expense. The mango tart tatin with mango ice cream was very memorable.

Best Pina Colada EVER!

by nylo

Unfortuantely, again, I have no idea what this place was called.. but i will always remember Paris to have brilliant cocktails! We stopped in this place after dinner for a cocktail (as it was my birthday) and we got a Margarita & Pina Colada! The presentation was perfect and the taste OH so good! I dont think I could make a better Pina Colada myself! PINA COLADA!

Amazing Omellete!

by nylo

We wanted some lunch one day, but not just any sandwich or cooked meal. We found this little place that had some obvious local inside chatting in French to the man behind the bar. We chose to get an omellete each, and had a coffe & hot chocolate. We were expecting an average microwaved omellette, but instead came these 2 beautifully plated ommeltes that had potato in it, salad on the side with a bread roll! It may seem strange going on about an ommellete, but it was so delicous, more than we were expecting. Its nice when things like that happen :) Can make all the difference! Ommellete & Hot Chocolate
