I know it is something not typically Parisian, but from Bourgogne region, anyhow, Boeuf Bourguignon is a delicious French food, beef meat, in special way to be cooked, highly estimated to enjoy with great wine, *my advice: Cote de nuit 1998, my favorite red wine from that region* you'll eat and say: Oh Merci beaucoup cher doctuer pour ce consile! LOL
Morocco famous food, but be careful it became traditional in France, French people really like it, it is a very healthy and yumi food, all kind of vigetables, and meat and smole!really a big lose if you don't eat it in France, they do it in a good way, there are many French people from Moroccan origine who opened such restaurants, so don't miss it!
I first had Rizzotto in France, very lovely food, the base is simple, rice, and seafood, very yumi, highly recomanded with good white wine *my advice : good Bourgogne Beaune wines*one of the great French gourmondies!
It is basically a sin to come to France and not to taste the famous pork Jambon, Yumi, lots of varieties and kinds, all of them are great, I espcially like: Le Jambon cru!don't forget to order it at lunch, or breakfast, it is great!
For those who don't like seafood, I suggest Calmars, just to change your mind once and forever, seafood is not only healthy, but delicious, French people adore seashells and calmars, and I do understand, it is really yumi!don't hesitate, and try it!
Chucroute rather to be a food from Germany!but it is very famous and popular in France, and it is a food to be enjoyed with good beer!it is simple, chou, pomes de terres and some sussiges!Yumi Yumi, nothing is better when combaind with good beer!
Les Raclettes is a very great way to taste what a real simple but great French food means, the products are just varied kind of meat, and some potatos near it, but the special thing is the heated cheez that you put on the meat and its melting hot, gives a delicious taste, please enjoy in Paris!
Les Escargots, means snails in English, Hmmmm I could never believe in my life that a day will come when I'll be so brave to taste those animals, *some people prefer to call them insects LOL*but once you do, believe it or not, you will like it, especially if it is well cooked, the taste with the garic souse is yumi, but if it is bad cooked, it'll taste just like rubber!try it, it is typical French, and it worth it!just be brave and don't say: Eeeeek!
Your restaurant for a wonderful dinner must be Barrio Latino, which is suppose to be a nightclub, but they have excellent food and dishes, the atmosphere is wonderful, and you'll enjoy high quality dishes and all kinds of good alcholic drinks!it is after the VT meeting we had there I discovered this outstanding place, and shall recomend it with pleasure from now on ;-D I had Fille de St.Piere, I liked it so much ;-D
We found there was more fun to be had by bbq`s than going to restaurants and bars...we did go to them but mainly we all kept together at the end of a day on the campsites. It is a lot cheaper to do it this way too.Essential item and tip is to get a bucket to keep the beer and wine cold. favourite dish has to be the ridiculous sizes of meat you can get in France...have a cow is a normal sized steak.
