Helpfulness
If you're a cyclist this isn't a bad place to hang out. It's a bit of a slog to Grenoble (74 km) and the nearby giants of cycling such as the Madeleine, Galibier, and Alpe d'Huez. But there is a fair amount of climbing to be had not far away towards Annecy that make for a nice day out on the bike.
Equipment: Bring your own cycling gear. There is a bike shop in town in case you forget something.
