Favorite thing: This is the Monastery Church in Annecy, it stands on a hill just out of the town. You would pass this way on your way up to the woods that lie high above the lake.
Fondest memory: Annecy is beautifully set by the lake and it is dominated bt its castle, once the home of The Counts Of Genevois. From the lake the town looks particularly beautiful.
Fondest memory: This is a view acroos the canal towards the chateau in Annecy, the walkways througout Annecy are decked with beautiful flower displays.
Favorite thing: In Annecy there are some beautiful galleried streets that you can wander around, looking in the shops that huddle under these galleries.
Favorite thing: Market days in Annecy are very busy. The market fills the streets and the galleries.
Favorite thing: In Annecy the streets run alongside the fingers of the canal and there are numerous bridges across these canals.
Favorite thing: In Annecy there are many pleasure boats, both private and for hire. The main place for these is on the Canal du Vasse, which leads out into the lake.
Favorite thing: This is Rampe du Chateau, the steep old street leading up to the Chateau in Annecy.
Favorite thing: This is the magnificent view from the lake. Annecy is close to the Alps and the Swiss border and it feels very fresh around here. The mountains provide a great backdrop to the lake.
Favorite thing: The lake receives only rain and spring water, what makes it one of the cleanest lakes in Europe. The lake of Annecy appeared 18,000 years ago and now covers 27km2.
