If you are thirsty and want to drink water don't buy the 0,50ml bottle of the famous "Evian" water from the streets. It costs 1,5 Euro!!!
Fun Alternatives: Just walk to the fountain (five minutes walk) from the lake where you can drink for free.

Although residents of towns extremely friendly, in general, the French would rather speak French (even if they knew English)
They take pride in their national language.

Fun Alternatives: Buy a small english-french dictionary and carry it around
you'll find alot of creative ways lazy tourists invented though...check the french dictionary tie on this page!
