No long trunks allowed!

by gOdOtPm

In the Rhône-Alpes region (and I was told all over France), if you want to have a bath in a swimming pool, you have to wear those lycra tiny bathing suit. Trunks are not allowed and paradoxically, trunks are the regular bathing suits in Spain!

We got the fountain. Now, WHAT?

by gOdOtPm

I found these tricky fountains all over the region and who knows if they're somewhere else... To get the water out of the fountain, sometimes, you have to twist the golden piece on top (like in this occasion). Other, you have to move some other handles in circles... Hard to guess for a thirsty Spaniard like me!

Rhone Lavender

by freya_heaven

I have yet to be in France at the the right time to see the beautiful lavender fields just before the the harvest. There are acres of lavender farms in the Rhone valley flowing down in to Provence. There is a Lavender trail you can follow, about 6 circuits you can take on both regions. The website below is very informative.
