Favorite thing: Theatres Romains. There are two amphitheaters. The larger one, Grand Theatre, is the oldest in France. It was built in 15 BC to seat 10k people and still used for open air performances. The smaller one, Odeon, has geometric tiled flooring (see travelogue for details).

Fondest memory: The site of the foundation of Lugdunum in 43 BC includes the site of the Roman theatres of Fouvière which comprises a large theatre (the oldest in France), an odeon and the romains of the craftmen's district.

its hard to tell a tourist what to do when they visit a town you've been living in for years....my favorite place is the 'gallo-romain' a parc at 'fourviere' next to my school where you get a view of the whole city=)
