Nothing really fancy about this restaurant, this is a classical place for tourists as you can find many in the resort, not better, not worst! I had a tartiflette, it was quite good.
The main particularity of the place is that its kitchen is open until 4am !! Really cool when the other restaurants are closing, you start to be hungry and don’t want to eat some junk food…

L’Ours Blanc was a pub close to our apartment. You can’t miss it with this huge white bear at the entrance (even if usually nobody is riding it)…
This is one of the places to be in the resort, usually crowded, electro music in the background; you can spend a nice evening …as long as you behave as expected! The first evening there was quite enjoyable, we were good customers and spent a decent amount of money drinking lots of Guinness. The bar tenders were even quite friendly, sometime with a round of Guinness they were offering a round of small glasses of alcohol. That could partly explain why at the end of the evening, some people were riding this bear ;-)
However the next evening we have spent there was not so nice, we were coming back from a restaurant and already in quite a good mood. We started singing a few student songs. There was a bunch of English’s who answered with some football songs. That was quite fun but for some reason, it didn’t please the bar tenders who refused to serve us another round. At the same time, there was no problem for the English folks… Agreed, they were singing better than we did but is it a reason? We finally moved to another pub nearby, if I remember correctly that was called the Secret Place. They also had Guinness and even if there was a karaoke, we managed not to sing there…

If you like jumping or doing other acrobatics, there is a nice snow park. However I’m quite reluctant to leave the ground since I broke my shoulder by jumping on a bump I had not seen. The boarder cross was much more fun imho: that’s a slope with many turns where you can race with your friends! First time I have seen such a thing and we enjoyed it a lot…

If the general difficulty in the skiing area is not too high, the way to come back to the resort is relatively questionable. There is a very boring green slope called les Demoiselles. If this one is closed, the only possibility left is one of the remaining black slopes : la Diable/ super Diable, l’Y, les Sapins or the popular Valentin. At the end of our stay in March, la Demoiselle was starting to melt down. La Diable was still open but many places without snow made it quite though. Finally Valentin was completely frozen, considering its steep slope, that was a funny exercise!!

The most popular part of the skiing area is definitely the side including the glacier. However the other side, even if much smaller, can be a nice alternative. There are a few enjoyable slopes and it’s definitely less crowded! It’s definitely a good way to start the day if the queues on the other side are too long. Even better there is a small wooden bridge linking directly this side of the domain to the other one…
