Ready to jump! (photo by a friend of mine)

Paragliding from mountaintop!!! Only for the dare devils: jump off the top of a mountain and glide down to a village beneath. At Morzine/Avoriaz region, I saw many paragliders and it looks like such great fun.

Les Lindarets

On the way from Morzine to Avoriaz, one crosses Les Lindarets - the goat village - where goats freely roam across the streets. Especially exciting for children who can easily come close to the peacefull goats and caress them.

A walk along the Dranse river

From the town center, you can hike along the Drance river on the "sentier du renard" and end up at the Nyon waterfall and the adventure parc with his airborne adventure high in the trees. It will take you about 35 min. Or you go up to the "lac des mines d'or" (lake of the gold mines). That takes you about 2h30.

making Reblochon cheese

Take the time to visit a local cheese dairy and maturing cellars and go to La Fruitière de Morzine where cheese is still made in the traditional way.
Working with the dairy farmers of the village, the young owner loves his job and will explain and show you during an hour the different steps of making cheese (Tomme, Abondance or Reblochon) every wednesday and thursday at 9 a.m. at the route de la Plagne next to the shop l'Alpage where you can buy the local delicious meat products, cheese, marmelades, liquor, wines etc.

Abbey of St-Jean d'Aulps

When we left the place along the monastery farm, we noticed a text that, due to vandalism, the place could only be visited in the company of an official guide.
