Favorite thing: With over 100 lifts and a high altitude the Val d'Isere / Tignes complex is one of the best in the world.
Lots of powder skiing. Runs are LONG and with lots of vertical drop.
It is recommended that you stay in Val Claret as it is the highest village. Val Claret is a bit sleepy but this place is for serious skiers .
You do not have to plan your day because of the lift layout. Just get on the first lift and keep moving.
Form Val Claret it takes the whole day to ski to the eastern extreme point in the resort and return.

Favorite thing: Teamed with Val D'Isere , Tignes is part of a mega ski resort with over 100 lifts . Home tp part of the 1992 Winter Olympics
The villages are a bit sparse and not that attractive.
The best place to stay is in the village of Val Claret , in the Tignes valley , the higest village .
If you go for skiing try to find " Piste Perdu " , the " lost trail". Idiots ski down this one .

Favorite thing: There is a nice place for photo shooting just between chairlifts Aiguille Percee and Marais. There is a hole in the rocks and it looks like a frame for photo ;)
