Apparently it is a local custom to put a large piece of granite in the oven overnight until it is searingly hot, then cook assorted raw meats on it. A fun and sociable evening that is involved and rewarding.
Favorite Dish: The beef is good as it can be as rare as you like, but the prawns can be pretty messy.

La Bouida is a typical Savioie restaurant situated on the end of a downhill piste in Tignes Les Bevireres - they serve food all day (mainly benefitting from the lunchtime trade of people skiing over the mountain from nearby Tignes). Evenings are a different affair though - if you are staying in Les Brevieres and you want something appetizing, reasonably priced and VERY filling, you could do a lot worse.....and now they even play you music videos while you eat...!
Favorite Dish: All the food is excelent so its hard to make a decision but, at a pinch, I'd have to say that the Pierrade in La Bouida is the best I've found in the village - mountains of food so you end up paying with a rather emabarrassed "sorry, I couldn't quite eat all of it" - can't be bad
