Vizille is a small village 16 km far from Grenoble. It has a square with nice small cafes around. This square is just behind of the Chateau.
To go there you can take Bus number N75 and N85 Grenoble Centre pont-de-claix. D 524 frm Uriage.

There is a huge park with a big pond and an animal garden and a museum inside.
If you don't feel well to walk that long you can take a tour with a small train there April to Setember. It is worth to see black and white goats and deers there. If you would like to know about how we get HONEY , there is an answer there too.
Children can ride a Ponny.

Museum building is a medieval fortress standing on a rock overlooking Vizille. In 1788 in defiance of royal authority they demanded a meeting of a States General, a key event in the build-up to the French Revolution in this building. First room of the museum opened in 1984. You can see the Revolution chronologicly in this museum with all details.

November-March 10.00-12.30 and 13.30-17.00 everyday
