Nakata: Yakitori heaven

A small fast food type Japanese place. I suspect it's Vietnamese owned, and not truly Japanese, judging by the language the waitresses were speaking.

Its not in Sceaux, but only a few metres beyond the town boundary in Bourg-la-Reine.

It has sushi, sashimi and yakitori. A la carte or in fixed price menus.

I had a fixed price menu (€14 I think) which comprised small salad (delicious cucumber & cabbage), consommé type soup and a selection of yakitori - prawn, chicken, tuna, scallop etc - with rice. All excellent.

Washed down with Kirin beer.

Not fancy, but excellent value if you need something good, quick and not too pricey.

Favorite Dish: I had mixed yakitori (like satay). The scallop one was the best!

Friendly (insincere) service; pleasant surroundings; very reliable standard Italian type menu. Good place to take kids.

Favorite Dish: Pizza!

To south of Paris, not far from Orly. Only 20 minutes from city centre on RER. It is like a very small provincial town, which has been swallowed up by the growing city, and has become a very chic...
