Changing money when banks are closed, requires some care, because all Bureau de Change, decrease the rates, so you'd better plan the amout of money you may need to spend weekend, just to give you an idea, normal rate was FF 6,00 and I got FF 4,7 on a sunday afternoon.
When renting a ski-appartement in France, be prepared to sleep with 4 persons in one room! The French think that as a skier, you do not need so much room for yourself to sleep. Mostly there's the living room, with an open kitchen. In the living room there's a couch where you can sleep with 2 persons and in the hall there are two beds on top of each other. There's no room for your ski boots and big coats and trays of beer, so just spend a little more money and book a 2 room suite or a chalet and party on!

The French people have dogs which they allow to poop anywhere and they do not clean up after them.There may be the odd exception, but not many!!!!

Storms and rains could happen in any moument in the fall season, be really careful and get ready with what you need of good clothes and be sure the transportation is safe!
