If you go to the beach, you will get sunburned very, very quickly, even if the sun doesn't seem too bright, so beware of this and wear plenty of sunscreen.

At busy places in the cities pickpocketing is popular.In the mountains there is a lot of erosion. With heavy rainfall, mud and stones may come down over the road.
Don't ask for French-fries... The normally friendly French will get offended and sensitive, or at least was my experience.
I was afraid with the french people because I don't speak any word in french, just a awful English (how you have notice), but the people were so gentle and sympathique.
Take a close look before you buy anything ;-)
Watch out for gypsies. They are quite quick and clever with their tactics.
Don't expect the French to open up and speak English. Even if you're not fluent in French, give it a shot. They'll appreciate your efforts.
France, especially Paris, is place full of thieves. Personally I wasn't a victim of a robbery but I saw robbers in action. Keep an eye on your hand bags, cameras, mobile phones and wallets.
