Bauerntanz is nestled within the very tight quarters in the heart of Augsburg's Altstadt. It's old-world all the way, with the waitstaff in period dress, and all the traditional German dishes lining the menu. This is not the place to come if flashy or trendy is your thing. But, it is a great place to enjoy some jegerschnitzel and knock back a few Hasen Brau's with a friend or 3, and there's outdoor seating in the summer, though the inside is always cozy.

Isn't this snug and cosy, atmospheric and inviting??
Who wouldn't love having dinner here with nearest & dearest, friends or acquaintances.....
This is a restaurant with FLAIR where you can lean down and enjoy it all!
till the plates and glasses are empty, the candles only low little flames and the air filled with all kinds of aromas....sweet, salty, alcoholic, fruity..........
This is the VOGELTORSTUBE: the little room in the birds' / pigeons' tower......I can smell the wood....polished and warm to the touch!

This HOTEL also has a wonderful RESTAURANT.
They offered me (and surely will offer you !!) a fine vegetarian dish!
But on the menu was also the next list!
home made soups,
salades
meat dishes, national and international cuisine
fish dishes
venison
meat served in pans and pots
but if you would wish to only have bread: they offer a substantional meal consisting of all kinds of bread with all kinds of things to put on top of the famous fresh German bread....

John Benton Restaurant is a delicious Steak House located in Karolinenstrasse, a couple of minutes from the Rathus by foot.
In this restaurant you can taste delicious meet. I can suggest the big rumpsteak (200 g) or the filet (200g) both served with chips, vegetables and bread with oil!!!

Think that translates as the white hare, but maybe not. Anyway sells augusta beers and very tasty food, good vegetarian choice for Mrs Bonio, all at a good price in a friendly and comfortable restaurant - well worth a visit.

Herr Charly SPORER invites you to visit his "gem?tliche" WEINSTUBE where the service will be perfect, perfect and kind!
There is room for some 40 persons, for another 20 there is another room and.....there is a non-smoking room for some 12 persons, which of course is great for a non smoking VT member who goes by several names, e.g. bes, elisabeth, lizzy, eden, elise, beth and many more.......but behind all those names you will find ME..........
Die STUBE is open: Monday through Saturday 4.30PM - 1AM
For reservations (and then Sundays and special Days will be an opportunity!) you have to make a phone-call.......see below

Here it will be a dilemma of where to sit??
Inside it is so wonderfully atmospheric but the SPECIAL garden, is also a superb place to enjoy this restaurants GREAT dishes....
It's up to you.........know that there is heating in the garden and that there are HUGE shades to protect you from an eventual mild shower while having dinner / lunch there.......
ATMOSPHERE is the KEYWORD here......
Favorite Dish: They ask us: make reservations so as to not be disappointed......

Walking in the Altstadt (old centre) I was looking for a restaurant with local cuisine. In a small lane I found this restaurant.
It was beautifully decorated for the imminent Easter fest. Prices for lunch varies between 6 and 10 Euros. I had "Kässpatzen with fried onions" (local dish) with a fresh salad plate and a beer.
The waiter was very friendly and courteously.
