There is nice artwork in the St. Andreas Church. Especially if you have the chance to get up to the organ you are really near to the beautiful architecture. Have a look here how nice it is...

For most visitors it will be unreachable to get to the organ. I was lucky that the organist asked me if I would like to come up to the organ and to take some photos from there. Not sure if he thought that I might be a visitor of the baptise service just later, but I went up there and got a quite new perspective in a church and could see the area of the organ. Have a look at the photos. The last was taken from below.

The church St. Andreas originates from the 15th century. Its interior was changed to baroque style. The frescos were made by M. Steidl and the stucco by M. Stiller in 1717. Altarblades built by M. Kager in 1600 and J. G. Knappich in 1681. It is a very nice church!

There is a staircase that leads from the street up to the St. Andreas church. This shortcuts the way from the 'lower town' to the entrance of the church. Inside this stairtower a Crucifixion Group is hanging on the wall originating from around 1520.

Beside the Fugger Castle you will see a church. It is St. Andreas church. To make it more comfortable for the residents of the castle there is a connection built between the church and the castle.

In Babenhausen you will find a Fugger Castle. It still belongs to the Fugger Family, which is a merchant dynastie from the 15th and 16th century. The castle dominates the town. It was built in the 13th century as a stronghold and extended in the 16th century into the castle.
The link below brings you to the page of Babenhausen (German only).
