This is a traditional German pub I guess - beautifully painted in Alpine style on the outside and full of character on the inside. We ate here most nights when we were in bed and breakfast on our first visit and there is an English menu on the tables as well as of course the German menu.
The food is good local cooking and we really enjoyed sampling some dishes we were not too sure what we had ordered but everything was fine.
The staff were friendly and welcoming and the inn was disabled friendly.

I felt another entry for the Reber World of Chocolate was justified for tourists in Summer.
There is abeautiful Garden outside the Coffee shop. I have never had the pleasure of sitting here, as i always go in Winter.
I've posted a photo of the Garden, because I thought it was lovely, in the snow. I imagine it's just as lovely, if not more so, in the Summer
Favorite Dish: Coffee and cake.

This is a very typical and traditional Beer Hall. it is in the centre of town in the Rathaus Platz, just beside the place the buses stop
I always vist here. When I arrive in go in for a beer or coffee and if I'm there around lunch time, I'll have lunch. If I miss the bus back to Berchtesgaden, I'll call in to have a beer while i wait. You see, sometimes there can be an advantage missing the bus.
Favorite Dish: Usually just a beer but I had a selection of Wursts on my last visit. Yummy

The Reber "World of Chocolate has" got to be the best coffee and cake shop in the world.
Reber make magnificent sweets, but have a look at that prospect in "shopping".
Reber comes from Bad Reichenhall and that is why they have this coffee shop here.
There are four coffee shops / restaurtants areas, two smoking and two non smoking, all differently themed.
One of them even has a white graond pianocomplete with pianist.
For the coffee shop there is a wonnderful selection of cakes. You go into the shop, choose your cake and indicate it to the girl behind the counter. She will give you a numbered ticket, then you go the the coffee shop of your choice, take a seat and give your order to the waitress along with your ticket, and she will bring your cake with your coffee.
The ambience is suberp. Service is first class. This is an experience not to be missed.
Favorite Dish: Coffee and cake, probably Chocolate Cake.
