For traditional national dress of Bavaria ths shop has it all. The National Dress is known as Tracht - items consist of the ladies dirndl and mens ledenhosen. The dirndl is made up of various items - the long dress, short sleeved blouse and decorative apron. I particulary liked the men's hats here topped with a Gamsbart a traditional goat's hair decoration. The brand name Aigner might be familiar to many the MaBanfetigung also has a large range of jewellery - handbags and shoes bearing this name.
I had no need to buy the traditional clothing but it was fun having a look!! As for the designer leather goods and jewellery I didn't have the whim or the cash. Instead I bought a small sovenir as a reminder of my trip here.
Prices depends on what you want to buy - obviously the Etienne Aigner goods cost quite a lot but you can get some nice gifts too for just a few euros Leave a Comment

A tourist magnet set on the terrace beside the restaurant with most good displayed outside.
They have a full range of various sovenirs from t - shirts to beer tankers. I bought my usual selection of postcards and a guide book they also had a video and DVD on the history of the Eagle's Nest.
Because of its location prices rise here too so expect to pay around one euro extra at least on nearly every thing Leave a Comment Theme: StationeryAddress: Kehlstien RoadDirections: At the top of the Kelstien Road

At the Kehlsteinhaus you may buy a video showing original films, scenes and background-informations about the building and construction of the Eagle's Nest and the Kehlsteinstrasse. They say that you may get this video ONLY there... I am not sure about that, but you may see that video running in one of the smaller rooms, all day long on a TV-set, so you may decide for yourself !
Of course most of that video is in black & white, and also the quality is not perfect in comparison to movies of today, it is certainly only interesting for hard-core fans of that time Leave a Comment Theme: OtherDirections: You may get that video at the large upper-parking, where you have to register the time that you take back the bus, and you may get it as well in the Kehlsteinhaus !

by Manara This mill has been producing marbles since 1683 and is the oldest of its kind in Germany. Water is used to levigate the pieces of stone from the mount Untersberg and transform them into small perfect spheres. It operates only in summer (May to October).
Marbles, the mill does not produce anything else.
Sorry, I did not buy any, so I don't know. Leave a Comment Theme: Toys and GamesAddress: Marktschellenberg bei BerchtesgadenDirections: At one end of the Almbach hiking path. Full info in English at: www.berchtesgaden.com/e/cities/schellenberg/marble/mill.htmWebsite: www.berchtesgaden.com

Edeka by kenbac Shopping in Berchtesgaden is pleasant but not extensive. There is a good range of shops and anything you want is probably available but Berchtesgaden is a town rather than a city and has shops to match. Shopping Hours in Berchtesgaden are the traditional German hours of 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday. and Saturday, 9am to 1pm except the first Saturday of the month and Saturdays in advent when they stay open to 4 pm. Supemarkets open earlier but close at 6 pm or 12.30 on Saturdays. Two large supermarkets about 1 Km from the Haupbahnhof on Am Mühlbach - the Salzburg Road (opossite each other) stay open until 8 pm, Monday to Friday and 4 pm on Saturday (6 pm on 1st Saturday of the month) Sundays is a definite closed day. If you're stuck for something it's the station or a garage and while you can get everything there, expect to pay more. Leave a Comment Theme: Other
