Silberbergbahn
The Silberberg measures 995 meters. The top can be reached on foot or with small lift going up the mountain. You can get off half way the mountain to visit the Bergwerk or take the Rodelbahn down or just walk back to the valley below.
Next stop is just below the top, from here it's an easy walk to the top only the last few meters is a steap climb up the mountaintop and the cross marking the top!

Historisches Besucherbergwerk Barbarastollen
This an old Silvermine called "Barbarastollen" a lot of minerals where found here inside the Silberberg. You will be guided through the mine with a helmet on your head and a kind of blanket around you.
The machines inside are still functioning. The guide explains all well, although you should learn the german languageto understand it.
Nice experience, only thing annoying me: taking pictures was not allowed in the mine!

This is not your typical tourist place in a tourist town. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and designed by the owner and in the summer there is a nice garden to dine in.
The menu is not very long, but pretty much everything is tasty on there.
If you are lucky the neighbor will stroll in and start playing the piano. This is always nice and sometimes there are special events (check website) The owners son is an opera singer and when he is not travelling he has been known to help out with putting together some very interesting evenings.
Favorite Dish: The menu changes a lot - but everything is excellent. Personally we like to start off with Flammkuchen

Sommerrodeln
In summer you can rodel down the mountain. It is not really considered a sport more of a game but nevertheless lots of fun for you and the kids.
In wintwer skiing is the thing to do here. I think it's a nice spot for beginners to learn skiing!
