In the town centre there can be found a plenty of beautiful old buildings, like this one.... which looks like a palace .....
But you can also have a cup of coffee or a beer in one of the many nice caf?s. Watch out!
Hope you will enjoy your stay here as I did - although it was only a short stay.

There is also a castle in Dillingen. It has a great high tower and a wonderful entrance gate. If you click on the picture, you will see this wonderful details.
Unfortuneatly it was closed when I was there. But I have to confess that it was rather late and in normal cases many castles will close at 5 p.m. (in Austria), and in Germany it is the same ...

It is typical bavarian "Gasthaus". I had a glass of wine and a local salad. The owner were very nice and they wanted to chat with me ... and on my table there was sitting a local man which joked a lot ... we had a lot of fun.
It seems that they like austrians as their guests ...
:-)))))
It was really enjoyable!
By the way, "Weintraube" means "grape" in german ... but there is grown no wine in Dillingen.. but they have great wines from other regions in Germany, especially Franken.

Favorite thing: Dillingen is just a few kilometers from Ulm, the town with the great cathedral and highest church tower .... but Dillingen is a nice place too.
Fondest memory: This houses are soo wonderful and they remind me also to the great old movies which play in medival times.
Even if you have less time, it is worth a visit and you will see a lot!

Favorite thing: Also take a walk through the side streets. Keep your eyes wide open, Dillingen has offer a lot of little treasures. But you MUST look ...
Fondest memory: Everything looks soo clean and well cared-for ... like many places in Bavaria and the swab country.
I took this picture in a side street and I also took it with a simple camera only.
