Pizzeria Sorrento: Perfect for a casual Italian diner
Pizzeria Sorrento is another dining place among those plenty of restaurants in Dinkelsbuehl's historic center. In regard of all the fancy places there with them pointing out the medieval flair and historic settings, I actually liked the simplicity of this Pizza place. Most important they too, like most of the restaurants there, have outdoor seats. In fact they keep it very simple, and low in price, yet their pizza & fresh salad do taste really great. We've had pizza with salami, salad, soda, tea.

espresso: Restaurant & Outdoor Cafe
This restaurant was just opened last year. I just checked on the web to make sure it made it and ,,,yep, it's still up and running. The inside is decorated in bare, modern decor. The day was too nice for indoor dining though, everyone was outside in the lovely terraced section.
Favorite Dish: All four of us got different dishes and all of them were good. I had the lunch special. Usually whatever is on the chalkboard, I will order that, and am always satisfied. The dessert, I would have licked the dish clean if no one was looking! It was some sort of clear gelatin with a creamy sauce on top. I still have fond memories of that dessert....hahaha

Wilder Mann: Bavarian Nostalgia
Traditional Bavarian restaurant/ inn at the old town of Dinkelsbühl. The interior furnishings and wainscots, made of dark wood, add to the cosy atmosphere and revive a lovely 19th century atmosphere.
The restaurant offers a variety of local gastronomic specialities like Swabian ravioli, dumplings, fresh fish, sausages, soups, etc. The menu also provides various barbecued steaks, pasta dishes and much more. And there also is a wide range of local beers and wines, of course. Outside there's a lovely beer garden where, if the weather is kind, you can enjoy nice views of the medieval buildings of the neighbourhood.
The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was served pretty quick, even though the restaurant was well filled (there was a wedding party at an adjoining room and most of the people were dressed in late medieval outfits and arrived on horseback! What a fascinating sight!).
Favorite Dish: "Chefsalat Wilder Mann" with fresh leaf salad, roasted chicken, ham, egg, cheese and a fabulous homemade dressing.

Fischer's Zundt Bactferei Cafe: Warm and Friendly Cafe
The pastries looked great and, as expected, tasted great. I went back later for a schnitzel sandwich that was tender and very good. The staff were very welcoming. I ended up eating outside on a cool day. And any cafe with a name that long is certainly worth trying....

Hotel Goldene Rose: 500 year old hotel & restaurant w/scrumptuous food
On a cold day in Dinkelsbuhl we dipped into this charming hotel restaurant for a traditional German lunch. The owners/staff were so friendly and accommodating with my extremely limited German.
The ambiance is traditional and cozy. The food schmeck sehr gut! (an attempt at me saying it tasted very good!) Right in the heart of the lovely village of Dinkelsbuhl...
It is also a hotel, and the rooms are very nice and comfy looking although we didn't stay here.
Favorite Dish: Maltachen... oh how I love this ravioli-like German dish. Theirs was vegetarian and delicious!

GAsthof Golderner Hirsch: Local German Cuisine on the street
The German food is always good. The cuisine is of Duetsch nature and authentic tasting.
Favorite Dish: WE had sauerkraut and wurst for a meal to split, and all was excellent.
