Be careful around this wild plant. The stems are covered with minuscule hairs that are more like spines. When your skin brushes this plant, the hairs attach themselves to you and emit an active ingredient causing a painful burning sensation.
This plant is displayed in the garden because you can actually make a healthful soup (does not taste good but high in vitamins) from the young branches and leaves. This plant is grown in the hospital garden. This plant is seen all over the woods.
