Near the REsidence platz is this church with an octagon shapes of the front. The red brick building was constructed by August Tiersch in 1885-87 in Italianate/Romanseque style

We went to Eichstaett by bike. We left our bikes there and made our walk through the old town. there are so beautiful houses everywhere.

The town was founded in 741 as a Roman post and became a province of Princes until 1802 when Secularization turned the town over to Bavaria region.
