The main road in Ettal has several shops selling locally made beers. Locally made by the monks at the Kloster Ettal! There are several types to choose from, and I think I bought them all!

Edeka is first of all a grocery-shop, but they also offer a big variety of beers and liquors from the refrigerator.
What to buy: They also sell souvenirs and will prepare excellent sandwiches according to your personal wishes.

At several shops all over the village, you may see a great choice of different sorts of beer - simply better check for the prices FIRST at all the shops, THEN make your purchase.
What to buy: Ettal is a great place to taste and take home great beers and liquors, made in Ettal, according to the old recepees of the monastery.
What to pay: Prices vary a lot without any special system

They offer a huge selection: Postcards, books, wood carvings and other artefacts, and the great liqueur and beer of corse ....
What to pay:
Prices are not to high, I would say that they are about average.
