In this house (Johann) Georg Ritter von Schuh was born on November 17, 1846 († July 2, 1918 in Starnberg). He was teacher and lawyer, and from 1881 to 1892 Mayor of the City of Erlangen, from 1892 to 1913 Governing Mayor of Nürnberg and from 1889 to 1893 liberal Member of Bavarian Parliament.
As a son of a weaver, he grew up in poor circumstances and should become wood blunder. Due to his abilities at school, he was given a training to become elementary teacher, but he didn't practice this job for a long time. After high-school diploma he studied jurisprudence in Munich and Berlin. He recieved his Doctor's Degree in Gießen in 1874, before he made legal state examination in 1875.
He was considered as leading politician, who made a modern city of the upcoming provincial town Nürnberg.

To be true, I cannot really tell you a lot about Foerstermühle yet. I stepped out of the subway, saw this impressing building and found it interesting enough to be worth an off-the-beaten-path-tip on this page. You have my promise that I am going to find out more about it.
