Helpfulness
There is a hiking trail up the hill behind Neuschwanstein. There are great views from up here and I highly recommend you take the time to do it. It gives you the whole of the valley below.

Here is a view of the main courtyard inside the main gate. If you look at the ground, you'll notice the white stones marking where the castle church was supposed to have been built.
