The Warsteiner is a fun little basement bar right off of the Marienplatz. The scene ranges from chill nights sipping on a hellas and chatting with friends to wild nights of people dancing on bars and taking body shots of Jagermeister. I guess it all depends...

The Evergreen is a Garmisch staple, not the classiest place, but if you need to par-tay until the crack of dawn, this is the place to go. Sometimes the scene gets a little hectic with the younger snowboarder crowd. Wednesdays are karaoke night...nothing like singing a song in your non-native language! Of course, there are tons of songs in English.

Located in the same building right in the Marienplatz is Peaches and the Music Cafe. Peaches serves food and 'exotic' cocktails and is the kind of bar for hanging out with friends. Every Monday pizzas are half-price in the pizzeria. If you get the urge to break it down, head next door into the Music Cafe. I'm not promising wonderful dance music, but it usually works. (Remember, we're in Bavaria here, not some club in Berlin!)

I walked in to smiles, fantastic music, and a wide variety of cultures and languages dancing and laughing like Monday would never come. It was like being home but with lager that kicks your ass! lol Was able to order food from the Italian next door, delivered to my table. In door and Outdoor seating, three giant Flat Screens, all showing different sporting events, including (thank god or my boyfriend would have had a crisis) 6 nations Rugby. We not only had an amazing time but left with good memories and great friends. No question; going back!! :) Leave a Comment

I´ve been travelling around Europe for the past 3 months and have been to what seems like hundreds of irish pubs along the way and i must say this was by far my favorite one. My boyfriend and i arrived in Garmisch fairly late on Friday night and headed straight for the pub. There was really good live music and the staff were very friendly and the service was super fast considering how packed the place was. Even though it was very busy the waitress went out of her way to help us find accomodation for the weekend and even made dinner reservations for us for the following evening in a great bavarian restaurant. Can´t recommend this place enough, we´ve already booked our flights to come back for Paddy´s Day.

I have been out a few times since I have lived here. Mostly we go to music cafe. More of todays kind of music and hip hop. Johns club is more of the 80's. You will find Germany radio staions play alot of "old" music. Mostly from the 80's. Music cafe is a younger crowd. Johns club is abit older.

The over all nightlife can be good as long as it is the winter season. I have been right before the season and found myself and my friends the only people in town. Even at those times peaches always seems to have people there. I have never really seen this place empty. Also I would say that this is the largest bar in the area, all the others are some what small but can still provide a good time. If you want to be on a first name basses with the bar tender, then check out the smaller pubs, but if you want to meet and interact with large groups head to peaches.

I guess it's the place were all younger GAPians meet at the weekend for dancing. It seamed to me that many people knew each other and when ordering drinks they knew the barman's name ...

The Peaches is a music café and Pizza & Pasta place in one. A very nice and relaxed place to go to and meet people. It's devided into the Music café on the one side and the Pizzeria on the other. The Pizzas and Pasta are very good and they have the best Cocktails in town. So, first you eat, then you have a perfect cocktail and then you dance.
There are lot's of events and theme nights, so it's always fun.
The also have a very nice and spezial interior.
On Mondays every Pizza is 50% off.
