In Garmisch you will find the Farmer's Market located at the Mohrenplatz every Friday and in Partenkirchen the market is at the Rathausplatz every Thursday. The hours for both are 8AM to 1PM, from April to October.
What to buy: The markets are a good place to buy fresh produce, meats, and cheeses for a picnic. Honey is a good item to take home as a gift. It sure beats shopping at the supermarket!

What to buy: There is just too much to buy that I wanted. More great Bavarian crafts of wood, candles, steins etc. I love stained glass so I picked out this small stained leaded glass window hanging.
