We walked to Lake Konigssee through a street lined with shops aimed at the tourist. We wanted to do the Cruise, so I said I would have a look on the way back. We arrived back at 5pm, and found all of the shops closed, so if you are going to do a late afternoon cruise, and want to do some shopping, do it 1st!
Weather on Lake Konigssee can change very quickly.
When our cruise began, it was a lovely, fine & sunny day. By the time we reached St. Bartholoma, it was raining. We saw it coming over the Mountains and down to the Lake area.
When we reached Salet, it was teaming, and as we headed back, we were in the midst of a storm. The lake was grey and had whitecaps, the Boat was rocking and rolling and we lost four life bouys, they were blown from the boat. It also became quite cool.
Perhaps check the weather forecast for the day to see if storms are predicted, as being in a storm on the Lake, wasn't much fun!
