Wonderful mediterranean kitchen, a lot of vegetarian dishes and the mixed starters are absolutely delicious! Everything is prepared freshly without any preservatives or artificial flavours. The plates also look very nice with lovely decoration. The service is very friendly and the prices are moderate. Just go there and enjoy!
Favorite Dish: I loved the mixed starters! It´s a litle bit of evreything and really tasty. My favourite main course are the filled wine leafes. They´ve got nothing to do with the cold leathery things I ate in a greek restaurant recently. The wine laefs are from a local wineyard and really tender with a delicous filling inside. Last but not least I had the turkish yoghurt with nuts and honey and a cay (strong turkish tea).

I can´t belive my eyes, when I saw Trip advisor-users giving 5 stars to this place!!!!!!!!!!
Firstable: Service was very poor (maybe we didn´t look good enough for this place, but in 5 star hotels restaurant they really shouldn´t give us bad servise based on what we were wearing!! I know many rich people wearing very common clothes, at least at hot summerday!)
When we finally get to order we ordered spaghetti aglio olio e peperoncino, witch is one of my favourite foods, even if it´s very simple. We both took the same, and pointed it at the menu. Weither said it out loud too. He didn´t bring us bread like to other people.
It took very long time to arrive, and for the price, it was quite small, and IT WASN`T what we ordered. Weiher got the portions on the table and said "spaghetti pomodoro". We were quiet too long, and he went away. So we had to wait him coming back. When we finally got him back, and told that this sin´t spaghetti aglio olio e peperoncino, he claimed it was!!! We said" You said spaghetti pomondoro, when you came, and this is just what is told to be in your spaghetti pomondoro". He said,"No it´s not!". In the end we ate it (and I hate tomatos, so I picked them out of the dish). It was so small, that we were still hungry, but we didn´t want to stay any longer-and we had to pay for this food we didn´t even order! I was so angry!! And so was my husband. Terrible experience!
Favorite Dish: Wine was good-I don´t know if the eood would have been, if I would have tasted someting I ordered!
By the way: If we change one letter in Helvetia (yes, I know what it means) it would mean Hell in Finnish. So we made fun out of the name!

We went here straight from restaurant Helvetia, and we were hungry and angry and it was raining "cats and dogs". We asked the weither could we please have some pommes frites and weissbier. He said "Of course" (There was no pommes frites on the menu, but we just asked, because we didn´t feel like trying anything we might get wrong..)
The portion was huge, and cheap. Of course it is only chips, but teh service was very friendly, even if we took only one portion and two beers. The weither talked with us, and we told about our so called luch at the other place-he said it is terrible bad service, adn why didi we agree to pay (at the next day we thought that only a Finn would pay, we are too shy to make a big noise of bad servise).
We looked at their menu, and felt sorry that we hadn´t eat here (anything"real"). Portions of the other people looked nice.
Favorite Dish: In this case I must say "Wheatbeer" :D (I can´t say frenc fries, they are just fries..)

Many of the outdoor cafes in Lindau serve up traditional Bavarian cuisine.
Be sure to have a nice beer with your meal as the locals do...
Favorite Dish: I am constantly seeking out vegetarian, poultry or seafood dishes when in Germany and without fail, everything I've ordered has been delicious.... look beyond the bratwurst friends! ;-)
Also... salads in Germany are excellent! Be sure to try a few!

I LOVE this place. In the summer, it's lovely to sit on the terrace and watch the lighthouse and the water. it's also a great place to people watch. In the winter, especially when it's snowing, I like to sit in the window and watch the winter scenes outside. Fantastic menu, great chocolate mousse, and a good wine selection. A little more upscale than most.
