This tiny canal running down the center of the sidewalk is very picturesque, but if there are a lot of tourists, you don't always see it. In some places it is covered with a wood bridge-like affair but in many places it is open for the unwary.
Enjoy the lovely running water, but watch your step!

The main walking street has a water drain running down the side of it and has some neat water fountains but be careful when you are walking, as some of the trough is open.
So this time I am telling you to make sure you look down as well as UP.

Visited the town on a Saturday in mid November and while the scenery was beautiful it was hard to find a place to eat lunch. Many of the restaurants to include the local brewery (Mittenwalder) were closed. The signs posted in their windows said they would be closed from mid October to early December.
