Airport is 40 km away from city center. Make sure you have time to get to the place of your business meeting when planning your flight schedule. Another trap is different terminals for flights of different air companies (yes, airport is THAT big) - say name of your flight operator to taxi driver!
what it could be? car, of course. Car is very comfortable mean of transportation throuout the Germany. Look at these two dogs on the back seat - they are also enjoying this type for transportation.

I flew SAA from Cape Town - Johannesburg - Munich. They codeshare with Lufthansa and I must say that I had a good flight both ways.

This is very big airports, as I know second biggest in Germany (after Frankfurth am Main).
Very modern building .

There is a cheap supermarket in the central shopping area of the airport. I think it closes at 9pm.

This is the new modern airport of Munich. Not exactly in the city, but easy connection by public trsnasport from Munich.

Munich airport is north of the city. You can get the S8 from the city centre directly to the airport & back every 20 mins.

If you fly into Munich, you're pretty much set. You're within hours to Salzburg, Prague, Vienna, Innsbruck, Paris, Brussels, and Berlin. I have found fares to be cheaper to Munich than anywhere else.

ys..i know...may be it's strange, but leaving from Roma Is less expensive that leaving from Torino....
