Munich is one of Germany#s finance centres. It is the number one insurance center, the number two banking center and the number three stock exchange center in Germany.
The House of Alois Dallmayr offers fresh-roasted coffee, pastries, Scottish salmon and much more. The store also has a restaurant.
This golden statue is located by the river Isar side, at the top of a very tall column. It's also an excuse to see the river.
Angel of peace is very close to Englischer Garten, so don't miss it.
The pink building is actually the HQ for Siemens AG, for whom I worked when I lived in Munich. It was formerly the Arcopalais, belonging to Prince Ludwig of Bavaria
There are various groups performing in public throughout the city center. The majority of what we saw were gypsies, but they attract quite a crowd. It was entertaining.
There is a lot of nice houses and other buildings with fantastic arcitecture.

This 85-foot obelisk (erected in 1833) commemorates Bavarians killed in the Napoleonic invasion of Russia.
Walk around and enjoy what you see. Don't focus too much on tourist attractions.

Right on the border with Switzerland, the city of Konstanz with its charming meadieval buildings and cobbled streets. A nice off the beaten path place to visit.
After I had climbed up the slushy road that led from the ticket office to the castle gates, this is what I saw.
Take a stroll down Maximiliam strass and go shopping, I've heard it's nice. Make sure to check out the Church of our lady pictured here.
Visit the grand churches in the city centre. My personal favourite was St Peter's, which had a tower you could climb and see the city skyline... but also worth a look is the famous Dom-Frauenkirche.
