Oktoberfest is a 16-day festival celebrating beer held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, running from late September to the first weekend in October.
The biggest public festival in Garmany. Everybody drink deep and make a carousal there.
There are jumbo tents, and colossal whirligigs.
Dancing on wooden benches with the self-appointed official representation of Italia was, fortunately, an elective course of mine in college. Therefore, I was prepared for what ensued...
You haven't lived until you've heard thousands of people try to sing along to John Denver's "Country Roads". I've never heard the words "West Virginia" interpreted so creatively.
In some Bierhause you can see and hear funny groups of german musicians, who are able to play really everything. This group was in Weisses Bierhaus and they played also with cow´s bells.
It is not as good as people describe because there is no air, people are too drunk, and waitresses aren't cute at all...
Only one size is available for a beer : that's 1 liter ("ein mass") or nothing.
Enjoy and take time to drink it ;-)
Oktober Fest is just an incredible must see activity. Thousand of people drinking together in large thematic tents, under the songs of a traditionnal bavarian orchestra !!
Lots of beer, fantastic food, and thousands of people singing German drinking songs at the top of their lungs!
At Oktoberfest don't miss the fairground rides - an adventure on its own you will not find anywhere else (some of them are even banned in the USA).
There are various groups performing in public throughout the city center. The majority of what we saw were gypsies, but they attract quite a crowd. It was entertaining.
A BIG beer festival in the end of September/beginning of October.
Here you find over 100 beer tents, tivoli, entertainment and much more.
Okay, I've heard there is a giant statue called 'Bavaria' on the fest grounds. I wouldn't know. This picture shows two people so drunk, they're propping each other up. I think I had a good time...
The world's biggest beer festival is crowded but fun and after enough beers, all the girls look like Nadia here. ;=>
When you are in Munich in October, you will surely can look at this Huge Beer Festival!!!
