You should see the Olympic park to see the site of the Olympics and to see the buildings there. It has been a while since I was there but it is close by the BMW tower which is visible all over the park. Lots of history (bad) here.

    Olympic Park
This park was built for the 1972 Olympic Games. Considered one of the most controversial buildings in Munich are the circus tent shaped roof of the Olympic Park. Dont' miss the fantastic view from the Olympic Tower. This view offers a great look at the Stadium, Olympic Park and the city.

At 4 euros it's good value for the ride to the top of the Olympiaturm. Great views over the city and on a clear day, down to the Alps. The stadium still looks very impressive from here too.

Munich was the site of the 1972 Winter Olympics, and today you can still go to the rink for some ice skating.

Site of the 1972 Olympics, this landscaped park contains sport facilities, lakes, bicycle paths, concert venues, restaurants and a football stadium, as well as its landmark "tent-style" roofs.

The TV tower built in the typical German style is 290 metres high and not worth going up in the fog we had that day! :))) On a clear day, it must give great view of the Alps and I hope to try it.

Visit the unusual stadium and other buildings of the Olympic Park to the north of the city centre.

There's a nice park around the Olympic stadium, good for playing sports, skating, walking...
From the Olympiaturm you have nice view on the Olympic stadium.

Olympic Tower Reaching a height of 289.53 metres, Munich's most prominent landmark. Take a lift to the observation platform, from where you have an incredible sight over Munich.

This is the home of famous 'Bayern Munich'. Well I don´t like this soccer team, but the olympic stadium of 1972 and the olympic park are worth a visit!

The Olympic Fairgrounds, near the BMW Building. Now it's basically a big, sparsely frequented park with endearingly tacky '70s architecture.
