    Instead of U and S bahn, you can choose to use over-ground transportations: there are many buses and trams that travels efficently all around the city and the neighbourhoods.

    Munich Tram

    The best way is on the underground but there are lots of trams and taxi's and you can even hire a bike for those of you with more energy.

    The U-bahn is the easiest way to transfer yourself from the citycentre to the outskirts of Munich; for example the Olympic Park and the Allianz Arena are reachable by U-bahn.

    NOTE: There will be no S-Bahn construction along the main line on the weekend of 28-30 March. S-Bahns will run normally between Pasing and Ostbahnhof

    Night and Weekend Travel Disruptions on Munich's S-Bahn:

    Due to construction, there will be significant delays and service changes along the main S-Bahn trunk ("Stammstrecke") between Pasing and Ostbahnhof late nights and weekends through 30 June 2014.
