That's a Christmas market to you and me. It is held in the church square just above the Schloss.
We were there on the first Saturday in December - best enquire locally about when it's on each year.
It was delightful. The old town buildings surrounding us all illuminated. The lights of the market stalls.
It is not a big market - but size is not everything. Lots of handmade goods for sale. Roasted chestnuts. Glüwein. Bratwurst. Waffles. All sorts of other yummy food & drink.
It shut at 8pm.
These markets really are a social feature in this part of the world. Friends meet to eat and drink in the cold December air.
Nothing much more to tell about this Volksfest beside this great picture of Netta on the bike, it was not easy to take her of the bike and I had to pay again and again for more rounds till the young lady agreed to get off the bike.
I do not think this was particular original or local thing, everyplace has some kind of festival in the summer, but Neuburg has it while I was here and it was actually very nice for my kids to try all the adventures they have here.
Here I am at the cafe Göbel on a hot summer day having my cold beer. Luckily, usually when visiting here the summer is good and I do have many of those moments :-)
