Favorite thing:
The most amazing part of Nördlingen are the town walls. They are well preserved and have five gates to the city, 11 towers and one bastion which can be walked over a length of almost three kilometres. Here you can see a picture taken during my roundwalk over the bastion. It feels like being back a few centuries ago.

Favorite thing:
I the distance you can see the Löpsinger Tor, which is one of the town gates. The Löpsinger Tor was originally built in 1388 but was dismantled in 1592 and rebuilt in the following years in the style of the Deininger Gate. A sundial was added in 1837. Today the Löpsinger Gate houses the Town Wall Museum
(Stadtmauermuseum). I love seeing these town gates, I feel so much in touch with history. Walking here, almost by myself, looking at the gate, made me dream back and wonder how it must have been here ages ago.

Favorite thing: Walking further on the bastion..... isn't it beautiful here! It was such a shame that the weather was so bad, but at least it was dry here :-)
