Find the Shoner Brunen on the NW corner of the Market Square, then find the Gold Colored Ring .

It's a movable and seamless ring that you can rotate for good luck.

Legend says that it was incorporated into the Wrought Iron by an apprentice without his master's knowledge. This "Apprentice's Ring" is one of Nuremburg's landmarks.

Christkindlesmarkt

Nuremberg's Christkindlesmarkt (Christ Child Market) is one of the oldest and most famous Christmas markets. The first official record of this market dates back to 1628. Already in 1737 nearly all Nuremberg's craftsmen were represented in this market. At the end of the 20th century, there were 190 stalls in Nuremberg's Christ Child Market.

What can you buy and eat in a Christmas market?

* One thrid of the stalls offer food specialities from Nuremberg such as Rostbratwuerste (fried sausages), Lebkuchen (spicy gingerbread), Gluehwein (mulled wine) and Fruechtebrot (rich fruit loaf).
* The larger part of the stalls offer toys, decorations, candles, arts and crafts.

yozu can't miss it!

Nuremberg's Christ Child market is probably the most famous Christmas market in Germany and it attracts about 2 million visitors every year.

It is not clear when Nuremberg's Christ Child market took place for the first time. The oldest proof of the market's existence dates back to the year 1628.

The Christ Child market takes place against the backdrop of the Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) and the old Nuremberg gable houses.

Did you know Nurnberg with an umlaut over the U means Nur-ein-berg or Only one mountain? Now you know! I once came across a town named Burgberg. Fortress on the mountain.(Burg means fortress and Berg means mountain) How about that?
